Adverbs of manner
An adverb tells us how we do something, and it describes the verb
of the sentence. An adjective describes a noun.
Adjectives Adverbs
Carol is a careful worker. She works carefully.
Lucas is a cheerful boy. He talks cheerfully.
Mrs Nothingam is a polite teacher. She speaks politely.
This is a hard exam. You must study hard*.
He is a fast driver. He drives fast*.
Valerie is a good artist. She draws well*.
Here is a list of irregular adverbs, i.e., adverbs which do not follow the rule above.

early early

Note: late is the opposite of early and it is both adjective and
adverb. if you add -ly to late, then it means recently e.g. I have
been very anxious lately.

2. Colin is leaving the house quietly.
3. Luna answered all the questions quickly.
4. The woman was so frustrated that she kicked
the door angrily.
5. Helping him made her smile happily.
