                First conditional (if clauses type 1)


               We can use the (if clause type 1) to talk about things that are likely to happen or a real
               situation in the present or future.
               If Wendy has five children, she will/can/may/might/must/should move to a large house.
               If Sally wins the song contest, she will/can/may/might/should/could be famous.
               We can use unless in a conditional sentence which means if...not.
               Unless you study hard, you won’t learn English.
               (If you don’t study hard, you won’t learn English.)
               Tom won’t buy a car unless he saves enough money.
               (Tom won’t buy a car if he doesn’t save enough money.)




            A. Put the verbs in brackets into the simple present, the simple future, or the imperative.

                1.  I                (come) and pick you up if you                (call) me.
                2.  If I              (be/not) too busy tomorrow, I                (visit) Jane.
                3.  If it              (happen) again, I                 (tell) the boss.
                4.                  (boil) some water if you               (want) to make some tea.
