Project
D. Work in a group of three and prepare a really fascinating guided tour of a local monument or historic
building in your area. Guided tours often focus on facts and figures, which is good – to an extent. Think
about presenting your facts and figures in an original way for an informative but never-to-be-forgotten
tour. You will need to:
• research the history of the building or monument.
• explain why it is of historical significance.
• point out interesting features.
• tell a surprising story or some amazing facts about it.
• suggest the best place to take a photograph of it.
• present the information in an engaging way for tourists.
