They say that a dog is man’s best friend, so we chatted to five teens to find out about their pets.
When we first got home from the pet shop, he just sat in
his cage and ate...and ate...and ate, and so the name
Munchbucket stuck. He’ll happily sit on the sofa when
I’m watching TV and put his paws on my leg. He’s a
pretty chilled rabbit now he’s a bit older. But he wasn’t
always like that – when he was little, he used to nibble
everything...including the cables for my Playstation,
which I wasn’t too pleased about! So, if you decide to
get a rabbit, make sure there’s nothing valuable around

Marley and Wilson are awesome, and I know normally
cats are quite independent, but these two love a cuddle
and will always look for attention from my friends when
they come over. My one tip for people getting a cat?
Make sure you have lots of things for them to scratch as
it keeps their claws healthy.

My turtle, Meriele, is really easy to look after. She lives in
a plastic box and spends the day swimming around or
sitting on her rock. I didn’t want a pet that needed lots
of attention, so a turtle seemed like the right idea. I have
to clean her shell every so often, and obviously change
the water frequently, and feed her every day, but other
than that, she’s pretty low maintenance.
