Cuisines And Dishes 5
If you’re looking for an authentic taste of
Mexico, look no further than Peperonchile, a
small and incredibly welcoming restaurant
just off San Antonio Square. The chef, who’s
lived in the area for a number of years but
is originally from Mexico, will often call his
abuela (grandmother) when he’s looking
to include a new dish on the menu.
And those authentic flavours of Mexico
shine through in every dish. Whether you
order the spicy chicken enchiladas or
the fragrant tinga burrito, there’s mouth-
watering pleasure in every bite. The bravest
of you may even like to try a chilli-tasting
menu - though if you’re not a fan of heat,
it’s best to give it a miss!
With stunning images of Day of the Dead painted faces looking down from the walls, as well
as the omnipresent sombrero, you feel close to the local culture. The cheerful serving staff
welcome you with a smile and make the meal as pleasant as can be - always on hand when
you need another beverage and willing to explain the menu in detail to any first-timers.
A perfect spot for dinner with friends or a romantic evening for two.
