Small steps, such as reducing our carbon
emissions and going plastic-free, will
certainly have positive benefits and are
measures which everyday people like
you and I can take to do their bit for the
environment. However, for there to be any
lasting change, the responsibility needs to
fall on the shoulders of industry giants and
governments, who need to enact radical
measures to have any real effect.
So, what can we do? By boycotting big
business and taking part in global events
such as the Friday school strikes which
Greta Thunberg of Sweden began, we can
make our voices heard. Individually, our
voices may go unheard, but together, we
will roar.
