A. Read this one-sided telephone conversation and fill in Kate’s replies to Josh. Write sentences with verbs in
the correct tense.
Josh Hi, Kate! I’ve been dying to talk to you,
but I haven’t had time. Guess where I’ve
just come back from?
Kate .
Josh I’ll tell you. Glasto! Yes, I went to the
Glastonbury music festival!
Kate .
Josh I know we’d planned to go together, but
you didn’t manage to get the tickets,
did you?
Kate .
Josh Well, my cousin – the one who works
in the music industry – was working
backstage, and she asked me if I was
interested in helping her. She got me a
backstage pass with access to all areas!
Kate .
Josh But Kate, you won’t believe all the
famous people I got to hang out
with backstage. You are going to be
amazed! Kate? Kate? Are you still there?
