Writing Time

Capital letters: They are used at the beginning of
words that start a sentence and with the word “I.”

To start a sentence, you must start the first word

with a capital letter.

Examples:

The animals love to play.
People love to watch the animals.

Try it:

(the) sea is home to millions of fish.

You should always capitalise the word “I.”

Examples:

I love all the jungle animals.
My friends and I watch films every day.

Try it:

see birds in the sky.

All personal names should start with a capital letter.

Examples:
My family and Sarah talk about the jungle.

Anne and Tony have a lot of pictures of animals.

Try it:

My best friend’s name is .
