Use a jar of glitter and hand gel.

Put your hands in the hand gel.

Then, place your hands in the glitter.

What happens now?

That’s exactly what germs do.

They stick to your hands.

In the Lab:

You will need:

• A magnifying lens

• Microscope

• Washed grapes

• Unwashed grapes

Steps:

1. Look at the unwashed grapes using

a magnifying lens then using a microscope.

2. Look at the washed grapes

using a magnifying lens.

3. Which grapes can you eat? Why?
