Vertebrates are larger in size and have more complex
bodies than invertebrates.
Vertebrates are classified into five groups:
Fish: They lay eggs in water
and breathe through their gills
such as sharks and tuna fish.
Amphibians: They lay eggs in water and
breathe through their lungs such as frogs
and salamanders.
Reptiles: They lay eggs on land and breathe
through their lungs such as snakes and
lizards.
Birds: They lay eggs on land and
breathe through their lungs such as
parrots and sparrows.
Mammals: They give birth
and breathe through their lungs
such as humans, dogs and cats.
