Dear Parents,
As a part of our social studies program, your child is learning about
honesty. In class, we learned ways that children can show honesty.
Here are some things you can do to support the message of this lesson
and our related learning activities.
• Set the model by being honest about things you tell your child.
• Catch your child being honest and praise him/her.
• Tell stories about honesty.
• Give examples from your daily life showing the consequences for
honesty and dishonesty.
• Play a detective game. Ask your child to watch for honesty being
shown in a store or during an activity. Talk about what he/she
saw when you are home.
Thank you for being our partner in education!
Research has shown that children with involved parents score
better than others whose parents don't have a role in their
education process. Help your child stay brilliant!
