Dear Parents,
As a part of our social studies program, your child is learning about
responsibility and citizenship. In class, we learned ways that children can
be responsible citizens.
Here are some things you can do to support the message of this lesson
and our related learning activities.
• Have a family discussion about what you can do together to take
more responsibility for the environment (recycling, using less
water, buying non-polluting products, etc.).
• Catch your child acting responsibly and reward him/her.
• Be a “Good Citizen” detective. Ask your child to look for a way
that someone is showing responsibility for the neighborhood or
country.
• Act as a role model. Take responsibility for everything you say or
do. Be a good citizen yourself. Tell your child how you are a good
citizen.
Thank you for being our partner in education!
Research has shown that children with involved parents score
better than others whose parents don't have a role in their
education process. Help your child stay brilliant!
