Dear Parents,

As a part of our social studies program, your child is learning about

family. In class, we learned ways that children can be a responsible part of
the family.

Here are some things you can do to support the message of this lesson
and our related learning activities.

• Explain to your child what you do at work and your role.
• Explain your role in the family as a mother or a father.
• Prepare a chart or list with your child explaining his/her role at

home.
• Catch your child doing any of his/her family roles and reward the
behavior.

• Talk about what makes your family special.

Research has shown that children with involved parents score
better than others whose parents don't have a role in their
education process. Help your child stay brilliant!
