                           Dear Parents,

As a part of our social studies program, your child is learning about

friendship. In class, we learned ways that children can be good friends.

Here are some things you can do to reinforce the message of this lesson

                           and our related learning activities.
                                 • Read stories about friendship with your child.

                                 • Help your child make cards for his/her close friends.
                                 • List characteristics of good friends to help your child be one.
                                 • Discuss with your child the criteria for choosing friends from your

                                   point of view.
                                 • Tell your child about a special friend you had in your childhood or
a special friend that you have now. Talk about what makes that

                                   person a special friend.

Thank you for being our partner in education!

Research has shown that children with involved parents score
better than others whose parents don't have a role in their
education process. Help your child stay brilliant!
