Dear Parents,

As a part of our social studies program, your child is learning about

rules. In class, we learned ways that children can learn how to follow the
rules.

Here are some things you can do to support the message of this lesson
and our related learning activities.

• Discuss school rules and classroom rules and why they are
important.
• Talk about any house rules that you might have as a family.

• Discuss how the rules that a family follows help to make the
family more safe and happy.
• Have your child draw a picture of a family rule that helps your

family be a happy one.
