1 Day-to-Day
Present continuous
We use the present continuous to talk about:
• things that are happening at this moment.
She is watching TV at the moment.
• things that are happening around us, but not at the time of speaking.
I am learning Italian this year.
• arrangements in the near future.
He is meeting his friend in an hour.
We can use time expressions such as now, at the moment, these days, at present, today, tonight, still.
Present continuous
Affirmative Negative Question
I am eating. I am not eating. Am I eating?
You are eating. You are not eating. Are you eating?
He is eating. He is not eating. Is he eating?
She is eating. She is not eating. Is she eating?
It is eating. It is not eating. Is it eating?
We are eating. We are not eating. Are we eating?
You are eating. You are not eating. Are you eating?
They are eating. They are not eating. Are they eating?
