Future simple
We use the future simple:
for predictions about the future.
People will visit other planets soon.
for promises, warnings, or threats.
I’ll do my homework, I promise.
Don’t jump. You’ll hurt your legs.
when we decide to do something at the moment of speaking.
This shirt is lovely. I’ll buy it.
with the verbs hope, think, believe, bet. We can also use expressions such as I’m sure,
I’m afraid.
I hope I’ll catch my plane on time.
I am sure he will pass his exam.
We use the following time expressions with the future simple: tomorrow, next week/month/year,
tonight, this evening, soon, in a week/month, etc.
Affirmative Negative Question
I will go (I’ll go). I will not go (I won’t go). Will I go?
You will go (you’ll go). You will not go (you won’t go). Will you go?
He will go (he’ll go). He will not go (he won’t go). Will he go?
She will go (she’ll go). She will not go (she won’t go). Will she go?
It will go (it’ll go). It will not go (it won’t go). Will it go?
We will go (we’ll go). We will not go (we won’t go). Will we go?
You will go (you’ll go). You will not go (you won’t go). Will you go?
They will go (they’ll go). They will not go (they won’t go). Will they go?
