             Three-word phrasal verbs (transitive)

             The following phrasal verbs consist of three parts (usually verb + preposition + preposition). These verbs can be
             followed by an object in the sentence.

           break in on         interrupt (a conversation)        look forward to     anticipate with pleasure
           catch up with       keep abreast                      look down on        despise
           check up on         examine, investigate              look in on          visit (somebody)

           cut down on         curtail (expenses)                make sure of        verify
           drop out of         leave school                      put up with         tolerate

             Intransitive phrasal verbs
             These phrasal verbs aren’t followed by an object in the sentence.
