                Third conditional

We use the third conditional to talk about
something hypothetical in the past. We need to
use comma (,) when the sentence starts with the
                if clause.
If I had known more about him, I would not have
                trusted what he said.
(I didn’t know more about him so I trusted him.)
She would have found the place quicker if she
                had used the navigation.
(She didn’t find the place quicker because she
                didn’t use the navigation.)
The structure of the third conditional is as follows:
                If + past perfect, ... would have/could have + V3

            A. Complete the sentences in the third conditional with the verbs in brackets.
