Geography Canada
Canada is no ordinary country,
and there are some interesting
statistics to prove it. Canada
is the second largest country in
the world, and has the longest
coastline of all the countries. In
addition, it is one of the most welcoming
countries when it comes to immigration, making
it a diverse and multicultural country. Canada
also has some impressive geographical features.
Lakes
Canada has more lakes than the rest of the
world combined. There is no exact figure but it’s
thought that there are as many as two millions
of them. The Great Lakes, which are shared with
the US, contain 22% of the world’s fresh water.
The largest of the Great Lakes is Lake Superior
which covers 83,300 square kilometres. Canada
even has its own dead sea called Little Manitou
Lake. The water is so salty that swimmers can
float.
Canadian Rocky Mountains
Canada is also home to many mountains,
with about 50 peaks higher than 3,350 metres.
Many of the peaks have glaciers which make
them dangerous to climb. Despite the low
temperatures, there are many hot springs in
Canada’s mountainous national parks which
are a great place to relax after a hard climb.
Plains Canada is the first country in the world to follow

Canada’s national dish is Poutine. It is made up of
