Dear Sir/Madam,
I wish to report an incidence of severe malpractice within the company, which could
1 (danger) both staff and members of the public. The incident took place
on 5 November 2019 on the Alder Brook Construction site, where I am contracted as a
th
builder. On this date we received a 2 (deliver) of timber, but it turned out
to be the wrong thickness, it was 16mm not 20mm. These beams are to form part of the
floor of the new building. Our line manager, Chris Wilson, instructed us to complete the
building 3 (use) the thinner wood. Not only do I feel that the use of this
wood is potentially 4 (structure) dangerous, I also suspect that Chris Wilson
is purposely using inappropriate, cheaper products to those 5 (specify)
in the blueprints, so that he can pocket the difference in price. I believe this because we
are under no time 6 (constrain) and could easily have got the timbers
replaced the following day. However, I do not have any evidence of my 7
(suspect).
I would be grateful if you could look into this, as I believe that Chris Wilson is engaging in
8 (legal) practices that put members of the public at risk.
Sincerely,
Jon Barker
