              Use:                                              Form:

                                                                • Some adjectives end in -ly.
                                                                 Early is an adjective and an adverb.
              Correct the sentences.
                                                                 It is early. I get up early.
              1. Joe worked hardly on his homework.
              2. Alice walks very slow.                         • Lonely and friendly are adjectives only.
              3. The children sang goodly.                       He is lonely.
