                Tenses revision

The aspect of a verb expresses periods of time or time relations, and it is formed either by making
changes to the main verb or by adding new verbs (e.g., will, have) to the main verb. There are four verb
aspects: simple, progressive, perfect, and perfect progressive.
              The simple aspect
The simple aspect is the most common and it is used to state a fact. The simple aspect includes the
simple present, the simple past, and the simple future tenses.
                 • present simple
                   I clean my room.

                 • past simple
                   I cleaned my room.
                 • future simple
                   I will clean my room.

The three simple tenses describe actions but do not state whether the actions are completed, habitual,
or ongoing. Sometimes the context, time expressions, or other words within the sentence supply this
              information.

                 • The moon goes around the Earth.
                 • They walked to work when they were younger.
                 • We will go to the museum if you finish your homework.

Note that the present simple is an oddity, as it is not always about present activities. It can be used for:

                 • habits which are not currently in progress
He washes the car on Sundays.
                 • future schedules
My plane leaves tomorrow at 6 am.
