                                                                                                            Lesson

              Let’s Practise

              Selecting the alignment of text.
Open the file ‘Jack and the Beanstalk.docx’ in your ‘Documents’ folder. There are two
ways of selecting the alignment of your text.

              First Option:

1 Highlight the text which you wish to align, go

to the ‘Paragraph’ menu in the ‘Home’ tab.

                2
Select the alignment you prefer for your text,
by clicking one of the alignment buttons.

              Second Option:

                1
                    Click on the ‘Paragraph Settings’
option, after you have selected your text.

2 In the new window which appears, you can
change the alignment by clicking the down
arrow and selecting the alignment you
                    want for your text.

              Fun Time!

Search online for a picture that has to do with Jack and the Beanstalk and insert it
into your document. Now align your text and place your picture in ways that make your
document impressive. Try it out! Alignment works with pictures too! You can use left,
centre, or right alignment with them.

              Challenge Yourself!

Remember the project you made last unit? Open the document called ‘My Favourite Game’.

Insert a picture and change the alignment of both the picture and the text.

                                                                                                                23
