             Searching for words or part of them has become much easier
             than before. New operating systems and apps can search for files
             or words much faster today, making editing a simple task.



             Let’s Practise

             Searching for a word.

                                                        Open the file ‘Jack and the Beanstalk.docx’
                                                        in your ‘Documents’ folder.

                                                        In order to search for a word, click on the ‘Find’
                                                        button in the ‘Editing’ menu of the ‘Home’ tab.
                                                        Or you can use the shortcut ‘Ctrl+F’.

                     On the left of your document, a search pane
                     appears. In the search box, type ‘Jack’.

                                                              The results are displayed under the
                                                              search box. How many results were
                                                              found for the word ‘Jack’?
