Writing Time




              Action verbs: They are used to illustrate what someone
              or something is doing mentally or physically.




                  Action verbs can be transitive verbs when they are followed

                  by the object which the verb has been acted upon.

                  Examples:

                         She kicked the ball.                              Verb:          kicked
                                                                           Object:   the ball


                         The teacher punished us.                          Verb:          punished

                  Action verbs can be intransitive verbs when they are not

                  followed by a specific object.


                  Examples:
                         I shouted really loud.
