Little Red Riding Hood
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful girl who always wore a red coat with

a red hood. Everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood. One day her mother
said, “I’m worried about Granny because she’s ill. I hope she’ll recover soon.
Take these cookies to her, and remember not to talk to strangers on the way.

They can be dangerous! Take a different route if anyone bothers you.”
Little Red Riding Hood picked up the basket and set off for Granny’s house.
Granny lived in a small cottage at the edge of the forest. As Little Red Riding

Hood was walking through the forest, she decided it would be better to take
a shortcut. A big wolf saw her. He came up to her and said, “Hello, my dear!
                What are you doing here?”

Although Little Red Riding Hood had promised Mother that she would not
talk to strangers, she didn’t want to be rude, so she replied, “I’m going to my
granny’s house because she is ill. She lives in the small cottage at the edge of

                the forest.”
The wolf gave her a wide smile. He waved goodbye to Little Red Riding Hood

and ran away. He then ran as fast as he could and reached Granny’s cottage
before Little Red Riding Hood got there. He went in and gobbled Granny up.
He then put on her clothes and lay in her bed.

When Little Red Riding Hood knocked at Granny’s door, the wolf asked her
to come in. Little Red Riding Hood hesitated because it didn’t sound like her
granny’s voice. She ran into the forest and called for help.

A hunter heard Little Red Riding Hood’s call for help and accompanied her to
the cottage. When they went in, Little Red Riding Hood and the hunter heard
the wolf snoring loudly. The hunter sneaked in, grabbed the wolf by his feet,

and turned him upside down! Granny immediately popped out of his mouth,
                unharmed.

The wolf was terrified when he saw the hunter. He ran away as fast as he
could and never showed his face in the forest again. Little Red Riding Hood
was very sorry and vowed to obey her mother in the future. She never talked
to strangers, or took shortcuts, again!
