At the Zoo
It is a bright and beautiful morning. Susie, Jimmy, and their father
are visiting the zoo. Susie and her brother walk to the monkeys’
cage. The monkeys are swinging from one tree to another. They
gawk at Susie. They are very naughty. Susie makes a face at the
monkeys, and then she and her brother go to see the lions. The lions
look angry. They do not like being trapped in their strong iron cage.
Susie waves at the ferocious lions and they roar back. The children
are very excited. Jimmy smiles and runs to see the swans swimming
and diving in a pond nearby. The swans are white and fluffy. The
children then tell their father that they are hungry. He buys them
strawberry ice cream. Susie and Jimmy thank their father for
a wonderful day at the zoo!
