The Tortoise and the Dog

The tortoise and the dog had been really close friends ever since

the dog's owners lost him in the jungle. The tortoise, who lived in
the jungle, found the dog standing in front of the pond. He was
pale and hungry and the tortoise helped him find some food.
The tortoise, who could only walk slowly, could swim very fast,
whereas the dog couldn't swim at all, but was a really

fast runner. So, the dog would let the tortoise ride on his
back and they would go to the land beyond searching for food,
and the tortoise would swim from one side of the pond to the

other and would bring whatever food he found there.
