The Fierce Volcano
The volcano had been calm and quiet for a really long time,
which had encouraged a lot of animals to settle down there and
make their homes on the mountain. Foxes, elephants, deer, and
even monkeys lived on the quiet volcano. One day, they all woke
up to a very loud, crushing noise, and the word spread fast that
the volcano was erupting. All the animals were dismayed and
started running feverishly down the mountain, followed by a
wave of hot lava. Some of the animals tripped over and couldn’t
run as fast as the others, but the animals helped each other
and carried one another until they reached safe ground.
When the animals were safe, they decided to search for
a new place to call home.
