Jack the Hero
Jack was a very hardworking police officer. He was so dedicated that
he usually went out at night and walked around the town to check
that everything was fine. For weeks, the news programmes had been
predicting that a big storm was coming, but it never came, and so
everyone had started to think it was just a rumour. So, one night, Jack
was doing his lap around town and decided to explore the sea area.
To his dismay, he saw the sea raging and knew that there was
definitely going to be a flood. Jack got into his car very quickly and
turned on the lights and horn. He used his car megaphone to warn
everyone to get into the shelters. All the townspeople got into the
shelters, the flood passed safely, and everyone was fine. The whole
town thanked Jack and named him the town’s hero.
