Angie’s Diary
Angie had always felt that she was alone and that she had no
one to talk to, even though she was popular at school and had
a lot of friends. She always thought that the kids at school only
liked her because she did a lot of things, and they loved to hear
her stories. She was worried: what if she didn’t do anything and
was listless instead – would people still want to be her friend?
Angie wished that she had a friend that she could talk to about
her problems, rather than just someone who wanted to do
fun activities and go on trips with her. So, one day, Angie
decided to write a diary. It would be her friend, and she
could confide in it and tell it all her secrets. She called
her diary Joy.
