The Sun is a huge ball of gas. It is our source of heat, light and
energy.
The Earth moves in two
different ways. It spins on its
axis. This takes one day.
It also revolves around the
Sun. This takes one year.
When our half of the Earth faces the Sun, It is daytime.
As the Earth turns and our half faces away from the Sun, it
gets dark and it is nighttime.
