Dear Parents,

As part of our social studies program, your child is learning about
endangered plants and animals. In class, we learned what is causing
plants and animals to go extinct.

Here are some things you can do to reinforce the message of this lesson
and our related learning activities.

• Ask your child to tell you two things that they learned from the
lesson.

• Use the internet to learn about endangered animals and plants.
• Share with your child which animals and plants are endangered
in your country.

• Use the internet to discover two animals that are now extinct.
Find photos to show your child some of the animals and birds

that are gone.
• Think of ways to help keep our special animals and plants on
Earth for years to come.
