Dear Parents,

As part of our social studies program, your child is learning about the
future. In class, we learned what life would be like with robots.

Here are some things you can do to reinforce the message of this lesson
and our related learning activities.

• Ask your child to tell you two things that they learned from the
lesson.

• Discuss with your child whether he/she prefers to own a robot in
the future or not, and why?
• Imagine that you had a robot living in your home. Discuss with

your child how family life might be different.
• Watch “Robots,” an animated movie, with your child. Ask your

child what might happen if robots controlled our lives and had
their own world.
• Do an internet search to find out how robots help us today.
