Home Connection
Dear Parents,
Your child is involved in learning activities designed to develop
knowledge about money and the exchange system. They may be asked
to complete several tasks at home. Your support, interest, and
cooperation with these activities will support our overall program.
Our current lesson is about exchange, or ways of buying things in the
market. We urge you to talk to your child about the lesson.
Here are some activities you can use to enhance your child’s knowledge.
• Ask your child to tell you two things that they learned from the
lesson.
• Buy a saving box or jar for your child and encourage them to
save money and spend it in the future to buy something they
want or need.
• Show your child different types of money (coins, bills, checks, or
credit cards). If you have money from different countries, be sure
to show it to your child and talk about what looks or feels
different.
• On a shopping trip, encourage your child to look at
prices of items you are buying. Have them guess prices
for small items.
Thank you for being our partner in education!
Research has shown that children with involved parents score
better than others whose parents don't have a role in their
education process. Help your child stay brilliant!
