           Some Facts about Currencies

            • The currencies of the world do not

have the same value. For example,

one US Dollar is not equal to one

             Egyptian Pound.

            • There are currencies made of

special metals that are worth so

             much money, for example, the

             Golden Pound.

            • The rst paper note in Egypt was

                                                 th
introduced at the end of the 19
             century. The National Bank of
                                                         US banknote of 1 dollar
Egypt issued paper money for the

rst time on April 3, 1899.

            • You can only use a currency in its

             country. For example, you cannot

use the Egyptian Pound in the

             United States of America. Instead

you have to convert it to US

             Dollars.
