explorers discovered many lands that no one
before them had set foot on.
The Vikings
The Vikings had no choice but to leave their
lands in Scandinavia, where the cold and snowy
weather made it hard to farm all year long.
The Vikings settled in North America during the
11 century for a while till their strategies in
th
conquering and in war died out and other
countries stopped them. The Vikings eventually
left North America and settled in di erent areas
around Europe.
