the United Nations. Your child learned ways that he or she can identify
the major goals of the UN and the work of this organization.
You can help your child by supporting our classroom learning.
Here are some things you can do to reinforce the message of this lesson
and our related learning activities.
• Ask your child to tell you about the lesson and what he or she
learned from it.
• Use the internet to review with your child the UN flag and what
the colors and symbols mean.
• Watch a video about the formation of the UN and why this
organization was formed.
• Show your child different photographs of different UN member
flags. Identify each country and talk about its identity.
Thank you for being a partner with us
in the education of your child!
