Air Sports Festival

The biggest air sports event that will be held in Turkey starts on Wednesday in Oludeniz, a popular spot for
holidaymakers and paragliders from all over the world.

Around 400 air sports enthusiasts from 40 countries will be competing in the 10 Oludeniz Air Games

Festival until Sunday. The paragliders who visit the resort will create significant excitement. The tourists will
get the chance to jump off Mount Babadag and see the beauty of the region from the sky.
According to the organiser of the event, the Oludeniz Air Games Festival is the second-best air sports
event in the world, following the one in France. The festival will help extend the tourism season of Oludeniz.
The event is held in October for the following reasons: first of all, October is the best time for the event, as
the weather conditions are great; that is why hundreds of paragliders have flocked to Turkey. Moreover,
the fee reductions on the flight departing from Babadag have had a positive effect on one-person flights.
Paragliding should be supported as a form of alternative tourism because one tourist who comes to
experience paragliding in Oludeniz spends four times the amount of money than the average tourist.
More than 3000 people, including athletes, their families, and friends, are in Oludeniz for the festival, and
those who do not compete at the event can enjoy the parties on the beach. The main event at the festival
will be paragliding, but participants can expect demonstrations in skydiving, hang-gliding, paramotor
flights, remote control plane shows, and acrobatic competitions.
