There are different kinds of schools around the world, and not everyone learns in a traditional classroom.
In India, some children have lessons on train platforms, in China, there is a school built into a cave, and in
Nigeria, there are floating schools! With that in mind, I’m going to write about my dream school.
My dream school isn’t that different from the school I already go to. But there are some changes I’d
definitely make if I had the chance. Firstly, my dream school would be completely ecological. There would
be solar panels, plenty of technology, so we wouldn’t need to use so much paper, and it would be great
to have a vegetable garden. Teenagers could learn how to grow their own food, and the vegetables
could be used in the school canteen.
Students at my dream school would be able to make more choices about what teachers they want to
have and what subjects they want to study. At my school certain subjects are compulsory, but they don’t
suit everyone. There would also be a choice about what time school starts and finishes. Most teenagers
need a lot of sleep, and waking up early is not ideal. I’d love to be able to study in the evening because
that’s when I feel most alert.
