Helping with the Laundry

One day, Mother handed Sammy a laundry bag and asked

him to assist her with the laundry. Sammy always helped his
mother with the household chores. Sammy put the clothes in

the washer of the washing machine and let them soak in water

and detergent. Mother then washed the clothes and put them
in the dryer. Mother asked Sammy to help her dry the clothes in
the sun. She asked him to hang the coat on the hanger. Next, she

handed Sammy the trousers and the blouse. Sammy hung them on

the clothesline. She then asked Sammy to hang the socks between
the dress and the towel. Finally, Mother put clothes pegs on all

the clothes. “There is nothing better than clothes dried in the sun,”
Mother said and smiled.
