A closer look
Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars are closer to the Sun. These
four planets have a rocky surface.
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are far from the Sun.
They are called the Gas Planets.
Venus is a special planet. It is called “The Evening
Star”, because you can often see it just after
sunset.
