You can hold solids but you can’t walk
through them because they are made of
tiny parts that stick together closely.
Water, oil and juice are liquids.
You can feel liquids in your hands
but you can walk through them
because they are made of tiny parts
that are close but don’t stick together.
The air we breathe is gas.
You can’t touch or hold gas but you can
easily walk through it because it is made
of parts that are spread far apart from
each other.
