In the Lab:

You will need:

• a celsius thermometer

• a tin can with a cover.

• some metal spheres.

Steps:

1. Put the metal spheres in the tin can.

2. Measure the temperature in the tin

using the thermometer.

3. Cover the tin can and shake it for 2

minutes.

4. Measure the temperature of the tin can

again.

5. What do you observe?

6. Mention the change of energy in this

activity.
