Dear Parents,

As a part of our social studies program, your child is learning about

continents. In class, we learned about the size of continents and looked
at maps of the continents.

Here are some things you can do to reinforce the message of this lesson
and our related learning activities.

• Think of a country you have visited or would like to visit. Help
your child learn to which continent that country belongs.
• Find a story about Ibn Battuta and Columbus.

• Share stories about your travels, if any, to other continents.
• We learned about Antarctica. Make your own photo album for
this continent, and use the internet for help.
