A continent is a large landmass. There are seven
continents in the world: Africa, Antarctica, Asia,
Australia, Europe, North America, and South America.
The continent of Africa has the
most number of countries. There
are fty-four countries in Africa.
The continent of Antarctica is a place for
research about ice and snow.
The continent of Australia is the
smallest continent.
Each continent is special. Each
continent is di erent in size, location,
and landforms.
Some continents have very large
populations. Some continents do not
have many people
living there.
