John was watching “The Flintstones” with his dad. The

Flintstones is a cartoon about early humans who lived in

caves. He asked his dad if people in the past really lived

in caves. His dad told him some people think so and

they even call them cavemen. Do you agree with John’s

dad? What would be good about living in a cave?

                                                                      Read & Re ect

Linda loves animals. She wanted to know more about

animals of the Stone Age, like the woolly mammoths,

short-faced bears, and saber-toothed cats. Those

animals were very deadly. What do you think humans

                                     did when they met them?

Angela was reading about how people lived in the Stone

Age. She realized that humans never stayed at one place.

As hunters and gatherers, they actually lived where they

could nd resources to survive. What are people who

don’t settle in one place called?

                         Conclusion

Some people used caves as shelters or places to live in. They had to be

careful because wild animals also wanted to live in the caves! Some

early people learned how to make homes or shelters with tree branches

and leaves because they moved from place to place to nd food and

             water.
