The Ice Age
The Ice Age was 11,000 years ago. It was very
cold, dry, and snowy.
There were lots of glaciers, which are big
masses of ice that move slowly.
The Ice Age changed the surface of the
Earth. Lakes and valleys were formed
from the glaciers.
It was very di cult for humans to
stay alive, but they were able to
invent things to help them
survive. At that period, animals
like the woolly mammoth,
saber-toothed cats, and giant
sloths were found all over
the Earth.
