Dear Parents,

As part of our social studies program, your child is learning about the Ice
Age. In class, we learned how early humans survived this age.

Here are some things you can do to reinforce the message of this lesson
and our related learning activities.
• Ask your child to tell you two things that they learned from the

lesson.
• On the internet, search for Ice Age animals that still exist.

• Find photos of animals that lived during the Ice Age that are now
extinct.
• Watch “Ice Age,” an animated movie, with your child and discuss

this time in history.
